80 cents of every $1 donated to this fund is held in restriction and may not be used for purposes other than investing, thereby generating steady, ongoing income for the HHT Foundation. Annually, the Board of Directors allocates a portion of investment earnings from this fund to support research into the diagnosis, cause, management and cure of HHT. Research grant applications undergo a thorough peer-review process that includes an evaluation of scientific merit and how each project will advance knowledge about the fundamental processes of HHT and/or potential new treatments.
